GUN BILLS:
Concealed Handgun
Reciprocity
(S 33) (SL 2003-199) This bill allows reciprocal concealed handgun
rights to concealed handgun permit holders from other states that
recognize that right to North Carolinians. The Attorney General is
to keep a list of the states who are eligible for reciprocity and to
make that list available to law enforcement.
The Attorney
General was to compile the list of states who qualify immediately,
the rest of the bill became effective 60 days after the effective
date of June 14, 2003. |
