2006 ANNUAL CONFERENCE --  General Information

Location, Accommodations & Reservations

The 2006 NCAWA Annual Conference will be held October 12 - 14 at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, One Thomas Wolfe Plaza, Asheville. The reservations number is 1-800-468-3571. You will need to identify yourself as a member of NC Association of Women Attorneys to receive the group rate of $179 per night. You must call by September 12 to receive the group rate.

President's Reception

Outgoing NCAWA President Lynne Townsend Albert invites all attendees and their guests to a reception on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 pm on the hotel patio. Heavy Hors d'oeuvres will be served.  This is a great way for first time attendees and conference veterans to kick off the festivities. Please fill in the appropriate box on your registration form to let us know the number of people who will attend from your party. There is no charge for this event.

The Community Outreach Committee is collecting clothing on behalf of the "Women at Risk" Program  which is a part of the Western Carolinians for Criminal Justice non-profit organization. The program helps incarcerated women reenter mainstream society. These women need interview clothes, work clothes and lounge-around casual wear. So please bring any and all clothing including professional wear, those old warm ups, or that shirt that stays tucked not in your skirt, but rather in the deep dark recesses of your closet. All clothing contributions are welcome.
