2008 ANNUAL CONFERENCE --  General Information

 

Location, Accommodations & Reservations

 

The 2008 NCAWA Annual Conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, One Resort Drive, Asheville. The reservations number is 800-733-32110. The cut off date for the rooms is September 9. Participants will be accommodated on a space available basis after this date. Our group rate is $155 Standard and $169 King. Loft Suites can be reserved for $295.  You must call by September 9 to receive the group rate.

 

President's Reception

 

Outgoing President’s Reception: This is a great way for first time attendees and conference veterans to kick off the festivities. Please fill in the appropriate box on the registration form to let us know the number of people who will attend from your party. There is no charge for this event.

 

 


Other Highlights and Events

Annual Banquet: Celebrate NCAWA and our members with an evening of honorary awards, music, and fellowship. Festive attire suggested.

Incoming President’s Lunch: Welcome NCAWA’s newest leader.

Book Discussion: Join NCAWAers of every generation in a discusion of the cultue of life choices professional women make, and how that culture has changed over the past 30 years.

LaZoom Bus Tour: Take a ride with Asheville’s most entertaining tour company. Pre-registration required.

Group Tour of Biltmore Estate: Tour America’s largest home and surrounding gardens and winery. Pre-registration required.

Childcare: Childcare arrangements upon request.

Shuttle buses will run periodically from the hotel to downtown.

 

NCAWA'S Community Outreach Committee is pleased to announce

that each year 2 county chapters will be selected and their featured charity will be highlighted at the statewide level. This year, GCAWA and Pitt County have been chosen. Watch this spot for announcements of their chosen charities and then see

the Community Outreach Page of our website for a list of the needs for each group and show your support by bringing items to the annual conference. If you are unable to attend the conference but still want to donate, please contact Evonne Hopkins at
