Robin Wicks Robinson has been appointed to the District Court bench in the 5th Judicial District (New Hanover and Pender counties). She fills the vacancy created by the death of Judge John Carroll. Robinson is a member of the NCBA and its Family Law and Dispute Resolution sections. The NCAWA supported Robinson's appointment to the bench. We recently learned of an amazing service for victims of domestic violence, which we wanted to pass on to members who do work with DV clients. Legal Aid of NC recently was informed about a plastic surgeon in Chapel Hill, Dr. J. Charles Finn, who performs facial reconstruction work for victims of domestic violence on a pro bono basis. They emailed Dr. Finn's office to verify the information and were informed that he participates in his professional association's "Face-to-Face" program. Dr. ...
