The NCAWA is not just for practicing attorneys! We actively encourage law students to become involved in the organization. Our large attorney network has expertise and experience that is invaluable for a newer attorney.

$500 Scholarship
Each year the NCAWA offers a $500 scholarship to a deserving female student at each of North Carolina's seven law schools. The scholarship committee at each law school establishes selection criteria based on NCAWA’s goals and mission. Ideal candidates are leaders in their schools as well as their communities. Candidates should be aware of the obstacles women attorneys face and display a willingness to overcome those obstacles while encouraging other women to do the same. The annual scholarship is awarded each fall to one law student at each law school in North Carolina.
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please contact the Scholarship Division of your Financial Aid Office. Recipients must be a rising 2L or 3L. Funds are dispersed in the fall of each year.
