Colleen Kochanek, an NCAWA member, has represented the NCAWA for over seven (7) years. She provides periodic updates to NCAWA members during the North Carolina General Assembly sessions about the legislation that is filed and how that legislation could affect women attorneys and their work. She also works with the Government Action Committee to discuss the legislation and target the issues that we can make an impact on during the session. Colleen also provides a legislative update each year at the NCAWA Annual meeting.
In addition to representing NCAWA, Colleen Kochanek is the founding partner of Kochanek Law Group, which focuses on legislative representation and lobbying and represents a variety of trade organizations, non-profits, and businesses. Kochanek Law Group provides consulting services, lobbying, and regulatory and administrative law representation. Colleen graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a BA in Political Science and Psychology and obtained her law degree from Wake Forest University Law School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. |
