Submit Member News

Member News may be submitted by e-mail or letter and forwarded to the Executive Director or Julie Adams, Membership Chair. Individual members are encouraged to submit information regarding recent awards and significant accomplishments. Law firm and law school members are encouraged to submit news about their activities. Each submission should begin with the name of the NCAWA member. Photographs are welcome.

Please note:

  • all entries are limited to 50 words or less and may be edited at NCAWA's discretion; and
  • all entries must concern active members of NCAWA.
The submission should not state general biographical information beyond the law firm or company affiliation or law school affiliation (in the case of professors). The submission should be recent news. Alternatively, any member who would like to be the subject of an entire article or profile (referred to as "A Member You Should Know") that would contain further biographical information should contact the Membership Committee Chair, Julie Adams.  There is only one "A Member You Should Know" column per Self-Evident (NCAWA's quarterly newsletter) publication.

Self-Evident is produced by the NCAWA as a service to its members and subscribers. The committees and contributors volunteer their time and talent in order to promote the objectives of this association and to advance the concerns of women in the legal profession and throughout North Carolina.

Please submit all Member News entries to the Membership Committee Chair, Julie Adams. For further information regarding Self-Evident, please contact the Communications and Technology Chair, Deb Dilman.  Deb will be happy to advise you about submissions, comments, inquiries, requirements, deadlines and story ideas.
